JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Pool Server/Bartender
Department: Pool and Recreation
Effective: January 1, 2026
Job Summary: To ensure guest satisfaction at the Hotel pool by cordially greeting guests, taking orders and finalizing beverage service in a professional and friendly manner and maintaining the pool area in a clean and organized condition.
Job Functions:
Provide guests with a level of service in keeping with Four Seasons standards including; Pick up, stock, restock, and drop off towels, juices, fruits and other amenities needed. (35%) Utilize the hotel computer system by ringing up sales, printing checks, closing checks and complete end of day revenue reports (20%) Conduct all opening procedures including obtain pool keys, unlocking all cabinets, setting up amenities and organizing pool towels. (10%) Serve and clear beverage items in an unobtrusive and professional manner (10%) Assist guests in seating, offering towel, and informing them of amenities, hotel information and food and beverage service. (10%) Wipe down, set up and move, when necessary all pool deck equipment (10%) Comply with Four Seasons Category One and Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact. (5%)
Non-Essential Functions:
Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff Respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation Report any accident immediately, no matter how minor to a manger Follow proper payroll and uniform procedures
Competencies & Qualifications:
Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language. The ability to work in hot and humid temperatures The ability to multi-task as a bartender, server and keep the pool area tidy.
Education & Experience:
High school or college degree preferred 6 months to a year of food and beverage serving and/or related food and beverage experience in a high volume upscale resort.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities but does require servers to be by themselves if there is no manager on duty.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional work environment. This position requires employees to be outside in the heat and humidity for 8 hours or longer per day.
Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position which means you will be expected to work 40 hours a week. Days and hours of work are dependent on business levels in the hotel. Evening and weekend availability are required for this position.
Physical Demands:
This role requires physical activity as listed below.
Lifting/ Pushing/ Carrying: 40% of shift carrying food trays from the kitchen to pool areas. Pushing laundry carts to and from Laundry department.
Mobility: 95% of shift always walking outside.
Bending/ Kneeling: 30% of shift to get supplies from different areas of the pool and delivering food/ drink orders to guests.
Travel:
No travel is expected for this position.
Other Duties:
Please note that due to busy business levels you may be asked to perform tasks that are outside the scope of your job description in order to ensure a positive guest experience.
