Pool Technician

We are looking to expand our service field teams with a Service Technician. If candidates are open to travel and qualified for the role.

Responsibilities

• Install Chemical Systems
• Install small equipment in filter room
• Run all control wiring between various equipment in filter room
• Program and Startup all pools, pumps, filters, accessory equipment
• Chemical Balance and monitor pool operation
• Basic cleaning of pools prior to turnover
• Warranty and service requests after project turnover

Qualifications

• Previous pool construction and/or service experience required.
• Pool Technician Skills:
• Water Chemistry – Pool Chemical System
• ontrol wiring and equipment control wiring (no line voltage)
• Pool equipment operation and servicing
• Communication and coordination skills
• Documentation and reporting skills: All documentation is completed digitally via company provided iPad with construction software
• Construction knowledge requirements:
• PVC Plumbing knowledge: PVC sch 40 and 80 plumbing up to 14” diameter
• Chemical Tubing Installation
• Control wiring installation
• Location (role dependent)
• Construction Division: 100% on construction site - Estimated 75% of projects are travel (over 1 hr from residence), 25% local projects
• Service Division: 100% in field - 90% local projects, 10% travel projects
• Region of work is within 5hrs of our office with the average distance in the 2-3 hr range.
• Additional pay available for employees able to work full-time remote based.

Travel Projects

• Startup Technician is paid for travel time and work time onsite
• Service Technician is paid from the time they pick up service vehicle and start route.
• Travel projects are projects where overnight stay is required.
• Travel Project Benefits: per diem, travel bonus, all hotel rooms (single occupancy and paid for by MLCP) and portion of travel projects are designated at four 10+ hour work days with a three day weekend.

• Pool maintenance: 4 years (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

• 75% (Preferred)
