Pool Technician

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Pool Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and servicing residential and commercial swimming pools, ensuring they are clean, safe, and operating efficiently. Candidates should possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience with pool maintenance and equipment repair. Duties

• Perform routine pool cleaning, including skimming, vacuuming, and brushing pool surfaces
• Conduct regular water testing and adjust chemical levels to ensure proper water quality and safety standards
• Inspect and maintain pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, and chlorinators
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment using hand tools and power tools
• Identify potential maintenance issues early and perform necessary repairs or coordinate with specialists when needed
• Maintain detailed service records of all work performed
• Ensure all pools meet health and safety regulations through consistent upkeep
• Assist with seasonal opening and closing procedures for pools as required

Experience

• Prior experience as a service technician or in pool maintenance is preferred
• Mechanical knowledge related to pool equipment repair and troubleshooting is highly desirable
• Hands-on experience with pool cleaning tools, hand tools, and power tools is essential
• Familiarity with chemical balancing, water testing, and sanitation procedures is advantageous
• Previous work involving equipment maintenance or repair will be considered a strong asset
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality service

This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance tasks, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will demonstrate technical proficiency in pool systems along with a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
