Porsche Technician

Black Forest Racing in Denver NC is seeking an experienced technician for road car and race car maintenance, service, and repair. While race car experience is a plus, Porsche or extensive Euro street car experience is a requirement as this position will be at least 50% diagnostic, service, and repair or Porsche street cars with the other half being maintenance and repairs of club-level race cars or modified street/track cars. Ideal applicants are those in the racing industry looking to land a flexible full-time job that still allows for IMSA/SRO fly-in work (which we can also assist with placement for), or dealership or independent shop technicians looking to move to a better environment where quality is the ultimate focus. Our technicians are paid hourly for every hour worked - NO FLAT RATE - as we believe in spending whatever time is required to do the job right the first time, every time. Efficient work is rewarded with a bonus on every weekly pay check. The shop is owned and run by a technician who understands and cares about the employees, not a businessman who doesn't understand what's happening outside the office doors!

This position is for an experienced technician with knowledge of automotive diagnostics, proficient with his/her tools, and able to work at a high-quality level as part of a team. Please do not apply if you do not have direct, hands on, experience with high end European vehicles; applications without listed Euro experience will not be considered, and those with listed Porsche experience will be considered first. This is *NOT* an entry level position. Special consideration will be given to applicants with a strong skill set in electrical systems and wiring. General knowledge of Windows PC operation (e-mail, note-taking, web browsers, etc) is required. You will be trained in the specifics of operating the repair order and billing software that we use.

Job duties include tasks such as:

  • Diagnosing vehicle problems based on customer concerns
  • General vehicle repairs from simple oil changes through to engine replacement and internal engine repairs if qualified
  • Working with the front office to accurately communicate repairs and diagnoses to the clients
  • Training on the operation of our Dynapack dyno will be provided and once proficient you will be responsible to do dyno runs and ECU flash tuning
  • Assisting other technicians as needed
  • Keeping your area neat and tidy
  • If desired, traveling to events with the team to support our clients at track days and races

Compensation will be negotiated based on experience. Pay is straight hourly for every hour worked. Hourly pay is supplemented by a bonus on each weekly pay check where an efficiency goal is met. We offer paid holidays for the major US holidays and paid vacations after 6 months on the job. We also offer access to online training courses in tuning, fabrication, chassis setup, and other areas.

We intend to take as long as it takes in this process to find the right person with no set date as to when we will be interviewing or hiring.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Employee discount
