Port Drayage Dispatcher Specialist

Job Description:
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 40 hours/week
Pay: $20–$25/hour (based on experience)
Job Type: Full-Time (Temp-to-Hire)

• Schedule container pick-ups and deliveries with LA and Long Beach ports
• Route and monitor drivers to ensure timely and efficient deliveries
• Maintain accurate records using Excel, Google Sheets, and internal systems
• Communicate professionally via email and phone with customers and partners
• Collaborate with management to adjust schedules based on customer needs
• Act as liaison between drivers, customers, and port terminals
• Handle high call volumes while managing daily dispatch tasks
• Resolve issues and adapt quickly to last-minute changes

Job Requirements:
Excel/Google Sheets/Spreadsheet: 3 years (Preferred)
L.A./Long Beach Port Terminal: 4 years (Required)
Dispatching 10+ Port Drivers: 4 years (Preferred)
Transportation Management: 3 years (Preferred)
Route Planning: 4 years (Required)

• Experience with port drayage dispatching and route planning required
• Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Typing speed of 50+ WPM preferred
• Experience with transportation management systems

Wage Range: 20.00 - 25.00 per hour
