Port Manager

Opening in well known major oil & gas company based in Qatar

Qualification & Skills:

• Internationally recognised senior maritime qualification – example Master Mariner Class 1 or University degree, preferably in Marine Transportation or Marine Engineering, ideally with an MBA.
• Minimum 15-20 years’ progressive experience in ports or maritime operations (preferably in the Oil and Gas industry), including minimum 5 years in a senior port management role.
• Proven experience leading complex port operations, infrastructure or logistic functions is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of International Conventions (MARPOL, SOLAS, ILO, etc.), Oil & Gas industry bodies standards and the shipping industry.
• Demonstrated leadership, risk management and strategic decision-making capability.
• Excellent stakeholder management abilities, negotiation and communication skills.
• Ensuring alignment with State, National and International maritime standards while safeguarding business continuity, safety, asset integrity and financial performance.
