Port O Let Route Driver

C&C Disposal is a locally owned waste management and recycling company in Pueblo, CO. We have been in business for 20+ years and are looking to add motivated, reliable, friendly team players to our team.

The Port O Let driver is responsible for servicing port o lets, cleaning, restocking and conducting minor repair to port o lets, e.g., toilet lids, hand sanitizers and toilet paper dispenser. The driver is responsible for the cleanliness and overall condition of the port o let truck before and after use.

Basic/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Monday-Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Valid driver's license and Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • 2+ years delivery driver experience (i.e., flatbed truck, pickup truck with trailer, etc.)
  • Route Reading and knowledge of the greater Pueblo area are required.
  • Ability to push, pull, lift up to 75lbs.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including entering/exiting the vehicle numerous times a day, loading/unloading, bending, standing, walking, climbing, etc.
  • Strong communication skills,
  • Ability to work independently and in team environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screen required (includes marijuana). This position falls under a quarterly random drug/alcohol screening program.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions (very hot/very cold).
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic, (e.g., reliable, dependable, and trustworthy).

Job Duties:

  • Attendance - This is an essential business - the expectation is to arrive every day on time and ready to work as scheduled. Absentees and tardies are constantly reviewed, excess of either may lead to termination of employment with Company.
  • Operate port o let truck in a safe and professional manner on public highways, roads, residential neighborhoods.
  • Drive a flatbed truck and/or pickup w/trailer, delivery/removal port-o-lets, recording information and completing work orders, container maintenance and inventory.
  • Cleaning port o lets.
  • Complete daily vehicle inspection report (DVIR), to include maintenance checks, checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires. Turn into Dispatch Manager at the end of each day.
  • Complete daily assigned work orders.
  • Ability to input daily entries on tablet as required by company policy.
  • Complete daily assigned route - clean and restock port o lets. Send pictures of each stop once complete to Operations Manager.
  • Wear proper shoes and clothing-outer layer must be high visibility in color.
  • Ability to utilize suction hose, turn on/off water valves and scrub brush.
  • Ability to work in inclement weather (very hot/very cold).
  • Adhere to laws/rules of the road to include company policies.
  • Salvaging and scavenging are prohibited on route and in the yard.
  • Fuel Trucks, as needed.
  • Courteous interaction with our customers.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

With a focus on safety and reliability, you will utilize your premium skills in commercial driving to manage deliveries effectively. Additionally, your relevant skills in moving and loading/unloading will enhance our operations, making you a vital part of our team dedicated to high-quality service.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
