Porter/Maintenance Worker

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Porter/Maintenance Worker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our facilities. Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning duties across various areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies.
• Conduct janitorial and custodial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold hygiene standards.
• Carry out routine floor care activities including buffing, polishing, stripping, and waxing to maintain a professional appearance.
• Assist with general facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting walls (residential or commercial), and inspecting equipment for safety issues.
• Support industrial cleaning projects by handling specialized cleaning tasks in warehouses or manufacturing areas.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored, maintained, and used safely according to company policies.
• Collaborate with team members to complete daily maintenance checklists and report any safety hazards or maintenance needs promptly.

Skills

• Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial services, or custodial work within commercial or residential settings.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing floors.
• Ability to perform industrial cleaning tasks efficiently and safely.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for managing supplies and completing tasks thoroughly.
• Basic handyman skills such as minor repairs or painting are a plus.
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
