Portfolio Manager- Auto Finance Collections & Loan Portfolio Oversight

E-Z Auto Credit is seeking a Portfolio Manager to oversee loan performance and customer accounts for our Buy Here Pay Here dealership in Chippewa Falls, WI.

This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of approximately 160–170 active customer accounts, maintaining payment performance, and helping protect the overall health of our loan portfolio.

The Portfolio Manager works directly with customers regarding payments, monitors delinquent accounts, and handles the documentation and legal steps required when accounts become seriously past due. This position also assists with customer credit interviews and application reviews during the vehicle financing process.

We are looking for someone who is organized, professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable communicating with customers about financial responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor a portfolio of approximately 160–170 active customer accounts
• Contact customers regarding past-due payments and maintain payment arrangements
• Track delinquency and maintain detailed notes on all customer interactions
• Work with customers to resolve payment issues and keep accounts performing
• Assist with customer applications and credit interviews
• Review employment, income, and references during the approval process
• Work with the Sales Lead to ensure deals are structured responsibly
• Prepare and send Right to Cure notices for delinquent accounts in compliance with state regulations
• Prepare court paperwork and documentation for small claims cases
• Attend small claims court hearings to pursue money judgments when necessary
• Coordinate repossessions when accounts cannot be resolved
• Maintain organized records of customer accounts, legal documentation, and communications
• Help maintain a strong and healthy loan portfolio

Qualifications

• Experience in collections, finance, banking, account management, or customer service preferred
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional during difficult conversations
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Comfortable reviewing financial information and customer applications
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and follow up consistently
• Experience with legal collections, court filings, or small claims court is a plus
• Automotive or Buy Here Pay Here experience is helpful but not required

Compensation

• Base Salary: $48,000 per year. Earn up to $58,000 Total after Bonus
• Performance bonuses based on portfolio performance and delinquency improvement
• Stable full-time position with long-term growth opportunity

Pay: $48,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
