Duties

• Safely operate a range of commercial trucks such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, and dump trucks across assigned routes.
• Load and unload freight with precision, utilizing equipment like forklifts when necessary to handle cargo efficiently.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with transportation regulations.
• Manage route driving responsibilities with a focus on punctuality and safety, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
• Secure freight properly for transport, including load balancing on flatbeds or tankers, to prevent shifting during transit.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route adjustments, or any vehicle issues encountered during trips.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.

Experience

• Minimum 2+ years proven experience with at least 1 year Port Experience
• TWIC Required
• Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently and safely across various terrains.
• Knowledge of load & unload procedures and freight security techniques to ensure cargo integrity during transit.
• DOT Medical Card and strong understanding of transportation safety protocols and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating deliveries and reporting vehicle or route issues promptly.

Pay: $1,500.00 - $1,800.00 per week
