POS Systems & Integration Lead

Job Summary
The POS Systems & Integration Lead (L3/L4) will oversee the integration, maintenance, and optimization of Point of Sale (POS) systems for our retail partners. Responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving technical issues, providing advanced support, managing system deployments, and ensuring seamless operation of software solutions. This full-time, on-site position is based in Schaumburg, IL, and requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of POS systems.

This role serves as the central liaison between POS partners, retailers, and internal teams, ensuring alignment across systems, faster issue resolution, and scalable execution.

You will act as both:

  • Technical authority (L3/L4) on POS configurations and troubleshooting
  • Strategic bridge across vendors, customers, and product teams

Responsibilities

POS Configuration & Loyalty Execution

  • Configure and manage:
  • Loyalty program logic (earn/burn rules, tiers, triggers)
  • Digital coupon and promotion execution at POS
  • Member ID structures and cross-system mapping
  • Ensure accurate execution of offers, discounts, and rewards at checkout

Advanced Troubleshooting (L3/L4 Ownership)

  • Lead diagnosis and resolution of complex issues across:
  • POS systems (NCR, Toshiba ACE, others)
  • Loyalty accrual/redemption errors
  • Coupon validation and transaction mismatches
  • Serve as final escalation point for:
  • Customer Success
  • Retailer IT teams
  • Implementation teams
  • Drive root cause fixes and long-term stability

Liaison: POS Partners, Retailers & Internal Teams

  • Act as the primary coordination layer between:
  • POS vendors (NCR, Toshiba, etc.)
  • Retailer technical and operations teams
  • Internal Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams
  • Translate between:
  • Vendor capabilities/constraints
  • Retailer requirements
  • RSA platform functionality
  • Drive faster issue resolution by aligning all stakeholders
  • Proactively manage dependencies, upgrades, and integration changes

POS Integration & Data Integrity

  • Own validation and monitoring of:
  • POS transaction feeds
  • Item-level mapping and pricing logic
  • Loyalty and coupon data accuracy
  • Ensure data quality feeding – Reporting & Analytics

Lab Environment Ownership

  • Build and maintain internal POS lab environments:
  • NCR, Toshiba ACE, and other supported systems
  • Simulate real-world scenarios for:
  • Testing new features
  • Debugging issues
  • Validating releases pre-deployment

Version Management & Vendor Coordination

  • Manage POS upgrades and version compatibility
  • Work directly with POS vendors on:
  • Issue escalation
  • Feature support
  • Release validation
  • Maintain documentation of:
  • Version dependencies
  • Configuration standards
  • Known issues and resolutions

Standardization & Scale Enablement

  • Create repeatable configuration frameworks and playbooks
  • Reduce custom builds across retailers
  • Partner with Product to move toward AI-first, standardized deployments

Required Experience

  • 5–10+ years working with enterprise POS systems in Grocery retail:
  • NCR (Encore, ISS45, Emerald)
  • Toshiba ACE (or equivalent)
  • Hands-on experience in:
  • POS configuration (not just support)
  • Loyalty and coupon execution at POS level
  • Proven ability to work across:
  • Vendors
  • Retailers
  • Internal engineering/product teams
  • Strong L3/L4 troubleshooting expertise

Preferred Experience

  • Grocery retail domain experience
  • Exposure to retail loyalty ecosystems and digital promotions
  • Experience managing vendor relationships or acting as a technical liaison

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
