POSITION SUMMARY
As an Electrical Mechanic you will assist the onsite field supervisor or project manager with the installation of electrical control systems. Duties include: the installation of conduit, wiring, and termination of electrical controls. Must be organized and maintain a clean work area at all times, and demonstrate safe work habits.
Essential Duties
- Layout and install electrical wiring, equipment, components and devices based on job specifications, electrical drawings and local codes
- Use of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment including circuit tracers, volt meters, megger, and ohmmeters
- Install panel boards, transformers, motor control centers and control panels
- Layout and work from ladders, aerial lifts, scaffolds, and roofs to install electrical wiring, equipment
o Installation of Rigid & PVC Coated Conduit & Cable Tray.
- Installation of conductors or cables through the conduit
o Termination of wiring in Motor Control Centers, Transformers, Power & Control Panels.
- Perform other activity as instructed by the field supervisor /project manager
- Provide assistance to less skilled workers involved in the installation of electrical systems and components.
- Be dependable and prompt when scheduled to work
- Assist with administration duties such as preparing Jobsite Safety Analysis, Jobsite Hazard Analysis and preparation of safety reports
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Training and Certifications
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED); or equivalent studies
o Must have 5-6 + Years Experience
o Valid Driver’s License and a Clean Driving Record
o Pass a Criminal Background Check, Drug Screen & Pre-Employment Physical
Working Conditions
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (Hard hat, vest, protective eye wear, safety boots.)
- Work is performed indoors and outdoors, often exposed to the natural elements of cold, heat, moisture, and wind.
- Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 LBS on a regular basis.
- Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol testing requirements and background screening process
