Position Overview

We are hiring a Post Closer / Mortgage Shipping Specialist to handle post-closing, loan shipping, and trailing documentation.

* This is NOT a closing or funding role

* This is a behind-the-scenes operations role critical to delivering loans to investors

Key Responsibilities

• Review closed mortgage loan files for completeness and compliance
• Prepare and ship loan packages to investors (FNMA, FHLMC, GNMA)
• Ensure proper execution of notes, allonges, assignments, and closing documents
• Track and follow up on trailing documents (recorded mortgage, title policy)
• Clear post-closing conditions and investor suspense items
• Maintain accurate records in LOS (e.g., Byte)
• Meet shipping deadlines and investor delivery timelines
• Communicate with closers, processors, and title companies to resolve issues
• File Opener (logging new files and assigning them to Loan Officer Assistants)
• Answering office phone

Day in the Life

• Start your morning reviewing loans that funded the previous day
• Audit files for missing signatures, documents, or corrections
• Package and ship complete loan files to investors
• Follow up on outstanding trailing docs like recorded mortgages
• Clear conditions flagged by investors or internal QC
• Coordinate with your team to keep files moving quickly and accurately

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
