Post-Doctoral Fellow (Water Quality)

Job Description

The Postdoctoral Researcher will join a multidisciplinary team working on applied urban water quality and stormwater management challenges in a real-world implementation setting. The role involves conducting field sampling and water quality monitoring, laboratory analysis and interpretation of data, pollutant assessment (TSS, nutrients, metals, TOC), technical reporting, and publishing research outcomes. The successful candidate will contribute to applied research projects, collaborate across disciplines, and support the development of innovative and sustainable stormwater solutions in urban environments.

Minimum Qualification

  • PhD in Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Environmental Science, or a closely related field • Strong background in water quality, stormwater runoff, or urban drainage systems • Hands-on experience with field sampling, water quality monitoring, and laboratory data interpretation • Experience analyzing pollutants such as TSS, nutrients, metals, and TOC • Excellent technical writing skills (reports, publications, presentations) • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary team
Preferred Qualification

  • Experience with nature-based solutions, green infrastructure, or SUDS/WSUD • Familiarity with water quality or pollutant modeling tools • Record of publications in peer-reviewed journals
