The position is located in the Center for Cancer Research of the National Cancer Institute, in the Molecular and Cell Biology Section of the Laboratory of Cellular Oncology.

About the position

A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Giovanna Tosato, M.D. at the Center for Cancer Research, National Cancer Institute. The laboratory conducts translational research aimed at discovering and developing new anti-cancer therapies to overcome current limitations. A distinct research focus of the group is the study of endothelial cells and the vasculature in cancer development and progression. Key regulators of endothelial cell and vessel function were recently identified by Dr. Tosato’s laboratory, and we wish to extend these observations by conducting fundamental and preclinical research. Our program integrates in vitro and ex vivo experimentation, cancer mouse models, and patients’ specimens; we use up-to-date technologies. The laboratory is shared by the groups of Douglas W. Lowy, John Schiller, Christopher Buck and Gabriel Starrett; and our network extends to collaborators across the NIH, including clinical collaborators, providing an outstanding research environment.
