PostgreSQL Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain PostgreSQL databases for high-availability and performance.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries, functions, views, and stored procedures.
• Perform database schema design, normalization, and indexing strategies.
• Lead and execute database migrations (on-prem to cloud, legacy DB to PostgreSQL).
• Handle data migration, validation, and reconciliation activities.
• Monitor and tune database performance (query plans, indexes, vacuuming).
• Ensure data security, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery best practices.
• Collaborate with backend developers to ensure efficient database interactions.
• Support CI/CD pipelines for database deployments and versioning.
• Troubleshoot production database issues and provide root cause analysis.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on experience with PostgreSQL.
• Strong expertise in SQL (complex joins, subqueries, CTEs, window functions).
• Experience in database design and data modeling.
• Proven experience in database migration projects.
• Knowledge of performance tuning and query optimization.
• Experience with backup, restore, and replication in PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with Linux environments.
• Understanding of ACID, transactions, and isolation levels.

Pay: ₹13,732.07 - ₹60,074.77 per month
