We are planning to establish a fully structured, scalable, and commercially strong poultry business from the ground up.


This is not a routine farm management role β€” we are looking for a high-level consultant/strategist who can design, structure, and operationalize a complete poultry ecosystem.


If you have experience setting up poultry operations from zero to commercial scale , this opportunity is for you.

Primary Objective

To design, plan, and implement a complete poultry business model covering infrastructure, supply chain, profitability planning, vendor networks, and long-term scalability.

The selected consultant will work directly with ownership and leadership to build a commercially viable, risk-controlled, and expansion-ready poultry operation .

Key Responsibilities (End-to-End Setup) 1. Business Model & Strategic Planning
  • Design complete poultry business model (broiler, layer, hatchery or integrated β€” based on feasibility)
  • Conduct feasibility & ROI planning with realistic cost and revenue projections
  • Recommend most profitable structure based on region, feed access, and demand
  • Develop phased expansion strategy (pilot β†’ scale β†’ integration)
  • Identify high-risk vs high-return approaches
2. Farm Setup & Infrastructure Planning
  • Guide on land selection, layout planning, shed design, ventilation systems
  • Recommend capacity planning (bird count, cycles, density optimization)
  • Advise on equipment selection: feeders, drinkers, cooling, generators, automation
  • Ensure biosecurity and disease-prevention infrastructure planning
  • Vendor selection for sheds, equipment, and installation
3. Supply Chain & Vendor Network Development
  • Establish reliable network for:
  • Day-old chicks suppliers
  • Feed mills
  • Medicines & vaccines
  • Equipment vendors
  • Develop negotiation strategies with suppliers
  • Build backup supplier network to avoid operational risk
  • Design procurement SOPs and cost-control mechanisms
4. Veterinary & Health Management Structure
  • Guide hiring or contracting of veterinary doctors
  • Create vaccination and disease prevention protocols
  • Mortality control and emergency response SOPs
  • Performance monitoring metrics for flock health
5. Operations & Profitability Control
  • Develop complete operational SOPs
  • Feed consumption vs weight gain optimization strategy
  • Mortality benchmarking and control systems
  • Batch planning and cycle optimization
  • Cost per bird & profit per cycle tracking system
  • Surplus/shortage handling strategy (market fluctuations)
6. Sales, Distribution & Branding
  • Develop market entry strategy
  • Identify bulk buyers, dealers, and distribution channels
  • Branding and positioning strategy (if packaged poultry planned)
  • Rate negotiation strategy with buyers and wholesalers
  • Network building within poultry market ecosystem
7. Team Hiring & Structure
  • Define required roles (farm manager, supervisors, labor, vets, procurement)
  • Help in interviewing and selecting key operational staff
  • Develop accountability and reporting structure
  • Performance KPIs for farm staff
8. Risk Management & Scaling
  • Identify major operational and financial risks
  • Disease outbreak contingency planning
  • Market price fluctuation strategies
  • Expansion roadmap (own feed mill, hatchery, vertical integration)
Ideal Candidate Profile

We are specifically looking for individuals who have:

  • Successfully set up or scaled poultry farms/businesses
  • Strong market networking with suppliers, vets, and dealers
  • Deep understanding of poultry economics & profitability drivers
  • Experience in commercial-scale operations , not just supervision
  • Strategic thinking beyond routine farm operations
  • Ability to build systems, not just manage daily work
Experience Required
  • 8–15+ years in poultry industry (commercial level preferred)
  • Experience in farm setup, expansion, or consultancy highly preferred
  • Strong supplier & market connections will be a major advantage
Engagement Type
  • Project-based consultancy (initial setup phase)
  • May convert into long-term advisory/operational leadership role
