Job Title: Power BI & Data Engineering Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI & Data Engineering Specialist with 1–2 years of professional experience. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft Power BI, data modeling, and data engineering concepts, with hands-on experience in PySpark for large-scale data processing. This role requires transforming raw data into meaningful insights that drive business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports using advanced DAX and Power Query.
• Build and optimize data models ensuring high performance and scalability.
• Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable BI solutions.
• Develop and manage data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and storing data from various structured and unstructured sources into the data lake/warehouse.
• Use PySpark to process and transform large-scale datasets for analytics and reporting.
• Optimize queries and troubleshoot issues related to Power BI reports, SQL queries, and PySpark jobs.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across reporting platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data engineers, analysts, business users) to deliver robust analytics solutions.
• Stay current with trends in Power BI, data lakes, and data engineering technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

• Strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Power BI (dashboard development, DAX, Power Query, data modeling).
• Solid knowledge of PySpark for distributed data processing and transformations.
• Expertise in ETL processes and data pipeline development.
• Proficiency in SQL for querying, transformation, and optimization.
• Experience with data lakes, data warehouses, and cloud platforms (Azure Data Lake, Synapse, Databricks, or equivalent).
• Understanding of data governance, data quality, and security best practices.
• Ability to handle large-scale datasets and performance tuning.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills :

• Experience with Azure Data Factory or other orchestration tools.
• Familiarity with Python beyond PySpark (for automation, API integration, or ML workflows).
• Knowledge of Spark SQL and performance optimization techniques in distributed systems.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for BI and data engineering solutions.
• Understanding of business domains such as finance, sales, or operations.
