Power BI Developer

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled Power BI Developer with 3–5 years of hands-on experience to join our team in Pune. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Power BI development, data modeling, DAX, and SQL, with a proven ability to translate business requirements into effective BI solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations in Power BI.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable BI solutions.
• Create and optimize data models ensuring accuracy, performance, and usability.
• Write advanced DAX queries and measures for business calculations and KPIs.
• Perform data integration and transformation using Power Query (M language).
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across BI solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data engineers, business analysts, and IT teams).
• Implement and maintain row-level security (RLS) and other access controls in Power BI.
• Stay updated with the latest Power BI features, best practices, and trends.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 3–5 years of professional experience in Power BI development.
• Strong proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power Query.
• Excellent knowledge of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions).
• Hands-on experience with SQL (queries, stored procedures, performance tuning).
• Experience in data modeling (Star/Snowflake schema).
• Exposure to ETL processes and working with large data sets.
• Good understanding of data visualization best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Good to Have (Preferred):

• Experience with Azure Data services (ADF, Synapse, SQL Database) or other cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of SSRS, SSIS, or SSAS.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Basic knowledge of Python/R for advanced analytics (optional).

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
