Power BI Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Power BI Developer to join our data analytics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI. You will work closely with business stakeholders to transform raw data into meaningful insights that drive strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, publish, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to business needs.
• Connect to various data sources (SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, etc.) and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and BI solutions.
• Optimize data models for performance and scalability using DAX and Power Query.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for data-driven improvements.
• Implement row-level security and manage access permissions within Power BI.
• Monitor report usage and performance, and troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 4–15 years of experience in Power BI development and data visualization.
• Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M language), and data modeling.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure services (Data Factory, Synapse, etc.).
• Knowledge of other BI tools (Tableau, QlikView) is a plus.
• Microsoft Power BI certification.
