New opportunity for a Power BI Developer with experience from at least a year-long job using your strong interest in data visualization and automation using Microsoft Power Platform. The opportunity is to build Power BI dashboards, datasets, reports and light automation using tools like Power Automate and Power Apps. You'll get in to this high-end hospitality company in North Dallas, learn new skills along the way in an it department that is highly regarded. You will be in an office where everyone will know your name, partake in department and corporate outings, lunch events and hospitality perks! COMPANY WILL NOT INTERVIEW ANYONE FROM OUT OF TOWN OR NOT WITHIN A MANAGEABLE COMMUTE"

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI dashboards, reports, and datasets by taking an existing data model and building reports based on a request or conversation with internal users.
  • Use Power Query and DAX to prepare and model data
  • Assist in creating or modifying Power Apps for simple data entry and tracking solutions
  • Collect data from SQL, SharePoint, Excel, Dataverse
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver insightful reports
  • Publish and manage reports in the Power BI Service
  • Provide basic support for data governance and documentation of reporting logic and solutions
  • Additional responsibilities as needed.

Requirements:

  • Power BI with basic knowledge of the other Power Platform components: Power Automate and Power Apps. An understanding of DAX, but don't have to be a strong SQL coder.
  • Worked with Microsoft 365 Suite tools: Excel, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data modeling skills
  • Basic understanding of relational databases and common data sources (SQL, Excel, SharePoint)
  • General understanding of standard SDLC process
  • English language to communicate to team verbally and in writing to present data in a non-data way that people will understand. People skills too.

Other items:

  • W2 only, Monday through Friday 8:30-5:30 schedule or similar. Work in office five days a week and then M, W, F in office when trained and ready.
  • Location: In the North Dallas offices (fun, nice, collaborative) If you need to go to an office, this is the office you would want to go to. Be around people who will help you grow!
  • Must be able to work in the US for any company, for any period of time.
  • Pass background check.

Interview Process:

1. Interview via phone or video with Recruiter at Waypoint Talent.

2. Video interview with hiring manager.

3. In-person interview with hiring manager and others.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
