We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Power BI and Microsoft PowerApps developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying impactful business intelligence solutions that empower our organization to make data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize Power BI Service to connect to diverse data sources, prepare and model data, and create interactive dashboards and reports.
• Develop custom visuals and dashboards that effectively communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics.
• Design and build user-friendly canvas and model-driven PowerApps applications to automate workflows and improve operational efficiency.
• Integrate Power BI reports and dashboards seamlessly into PowerApps for a unified user experience.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into effective BI solutions.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of data governance and security measures (row level security) for Power BI and PowerApps environments.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Power BI and Microsoft Power Platform capabilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Information Systems Management, Math, Statistics, Operations Research, or Engineering (preferred).
• 10 years of experience working with SQL Server, including proficiency in T-SQL scripting and query optimization.
• Demonstrated experience leveraging SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) to extract business intelligence.
• Proficiency in Power BI Desktop & Service: Experience designing, developing, and publishing reports and dashboards using Power BI Desktop, Power BI Report Builder and the Power BI Service. This includes building advanced analytics, custom visuals, and Power BI Apps
• Strong skills in creating efficient semantic data models including complex DAX formulas for calculated columns and measures.
• Experience delivering reports to end users including configuring Power BI Apps and Power BI refreshes
• Understanding of Power BI Parameters, Slicers, Filters, Bookmarks and other interactive components.
• Strong understanding of Power BI Security and row level security the ability to test RLS using different roles and users.

Power BI/PowerApps Skills:

· Strong working knowledge of Power BI Service, including data acquisition, modeling, DAX calculations, and visualization techniques.

· Proven ability to create interactive dashboards and reports that cater to different user needs and viewing preferences.

· Experience building complex data models and integrating data from various sources using Power Query.

· Hands-on experience developing canvas and model-driven PowerApps applications for automating tasks and improving business processes.

· Understanding of PowerApps connectors and their ability to integrate with various data sources and services.

· Experience building workflows and automations using Power Automate to connect Power BI and PowerApps for a holistic user experience.

· Experience with data gateways for connecting Power BI and PowerApps to on-premises data sources.

· Familiarity with security best practices and governance considerations for Power BI and PowerApps deployments.

Education/Certification Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree with preferred study in Computer Science, Information Science, Information Systems Management, Math, Statistics, Operations Research, Engineering or related field.

Other Requirements:

· This position is currently remote but may eventually be hybrid remote/onsite (1-2 days on the client site per week) in Old Town Alexandria, VA, close to the King Street Metro Station.

· Our client (Green Card) and must be able to obtain a Federal Government Clearance including a Credit Check.
