Security & Governance Engineer — Data Platforms (incl. Power Platform)

Role purpose
Embed secure-by-default controls and governance across Fabric and Power BI , enforcing information protection, platform guardrails and auditability, and establishing Power Platform DLP and environment strategy to support low-code automations safely.

Responsibilities

• Implement identity/access (Entra ID roles, service principals, PIM), workspace models and RLS/OLS aligned to the security matrix.
• Define data classification, sensitivity labels, retention and audit logging; monitor tenant/workspace settings and activity.
• Stand up catalogue/lineage ( Purview ) and governance workflows; ensure compliance across Salesforce and Oracle integrations.
• Establish Power Platform governance (DLP policies, connector management, environment design, admin monitoring).
• Champion “secure by default” and conduct periodic reviews, including embedded analytics scenarios.

Essential experience

• Data security/governance for Microsoft data platforms; Power BI admin and Fabric guardrails.
• Designing controls for multi-source (SaaS/ERP) analytics; automation of policy/config via IaC.

Desirable

• Purview admin; Key Vault/KMS; experience in regulated environments.
