Role Description

Bright Star is recruiting multiple Power Platform Specialists, junior to mid-range, to support our USCIS client. This position is full-time and hybrid. This role directly supports mission-critical immigration and humanitarian operations by designing and implementing automation solutions that streamline business processes, improve operational efficiency, and enhance data-driven decision-making across RAIO systems. This role is well suited for a self-starter who thrives on ownership, problem-solving, and delivering results and who does not just work within the Power Platform but actively creates and maintains solutions with it.

As a Power Platform Specialist, you will design and deliver scalable automation solutions that streamline business processes, improve data quality, and drive operational efficiency. You will work directly with stakeholders to translate business needs into secure, reliable solutions using Power Automate and the broader Power Platform.

You will analyze workflows, identify automation opportunities, and build integrations across systems and teams. You will also support data modeling and analytics to enable clear reporting and better decision-making. From concept through deployment, you will own solutions end-to-end, applying best practices and incorporating feedback to deliver durable, mission-ready outcomes.

This role requires a self-starter with a builder mindset, strong problem-solving skills, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to quickly learn and apply new tools and techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated workflows using Microsoft Power Automate, including cloud flows, desktop flows, and integrations with other systems
  • Build custom business applications using Power Apps to support process improvements and data collection
  • Create and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to support data-driven decision making
  • Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for automation and improvement
  • Translate business and operational requirements into technical Power Platform solutions
  • Maintain, Troubleshoot, optimize, and document workflows and automation solutions
  • Develop and support data models and analytics to enable reporting and decision-making
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver solutions
  • Ensure solutions comply with security, governance, and best-practice standards
  • Support end-user adoption through training and ongoing assistance

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated Expertise in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse, Power BI)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or related fields.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality, and troubleshooting expertise
  • Ability to work with a team or independently to design and implement technical solutions from loosely defined requirements
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Immigration data
  • Active Secret Clearance or higher security clearance
  • Has experience with USCIS or similar agencies.
  • Experience with Power BI and data visualization
  • Background working in dynamic, small-team or growth-oriented environments
  • Strong experience with workflow automation and process improvement
  • Solid understanding of data modeling and analytics concepts

Pay: $80,000 - $140,000
