Job Overview:

Ensure smooth and uninterrupted power operations at assigned toll plazas by operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting power systems including solar, UPS, generators, inverters, and LV panels, while supporting installation and commissioning activities in strict compliance with safety standards.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure uninterrupted 24/7 power operations at the assigned toll plaza.
  • Monitor inverters to track PV generation, grid availability, and battery state of charge (SOC).
  • Document voltage abnormalities, breaker trips, and equipment faults with proper records and photographs.
  • Coordinate closely with the Power Supervisor, JM Power, and AM Power to resolve faults and execute tasks efficiently.
  • Identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot faults in active equipment including UPS, inverters, grid supply, solar panels, generators, AVRs, and short circuits.
  • Carry out installation and commissioning of new or repaired power equipment such as AVRs, UPSs, inverters, solar panels, batteries, MCBs, and MCCBs.
  • Ensure prompt resolution of power-related issues to minimize downtime and service disruption.
  • Conduct daily inspections of power systems and address issues in coordination with the Power Supervisor and JM Power.
  • Adhere strictly to safety standards and procedures during maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment upgrades.
  • Escalate critical issues in a timely manner and submit reports on maintenance activities, fault resolution, and power upgrade projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of genset fueling, system faults, weekly inspections, and assigned tasks.

Qualifications

  • Minimum three-year diploma or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Relevant technical certifications in power systems or electrical maintenance will be an added advantage.

Required Skills

  • Hands-on experience with power systems including inverters, UPS, solar panels, generators, AVRs, and LV panels.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve power equipment faults.
  • Ability to adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain accurate operational and maintenance records.
  • Effective coordination and communication skills to work closely with supervisors and power management teams.
  • Safety-focused mindset with disciplined and compliant execution of operational tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs38,000.00 - Rs40,000.00 per month
