PPC Specialist ( Amazon )

Job Summary

We are seeking a results-driven Amazon PPC Specialist to manage, optimize, and scale Amazon dvertising campaigns across multiple product categories. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in Amazon Sponsored Ads, strong analytical skills, and a proven ability to drive profitable growth while maintaining target ACOS and TACOS.

You will be responsible for end-to-end Amazon PPC strategy—from keyword research and campaign setup to performance optimization and reporting—working closely with account managers, brand owners, or eCommerce teams.

Key Responsibilities

Amazon PPC Strategy & Campaign Management

  • Plan, build, and manage Amazon advertising campaigns, including:

o Sponsored Products

o Sponsored Brands

o Sponsored Display

o Amazon DSP

  • Develop full-funnel PPC strategies for product launches, ranking, scaling, and profitability
  • Structure campaigns based on best practices (auto, manual, keyword match types, ASIN

targeting)

  • Manage daily budgets, bids, and placement adjustments

Keyword & ASIN Research

  • Conduct in-depth keyword research using Amazon tools and third-party software
  • Identify high-converting keywords, long-tail opportunities, and negative keywords
  • Perform ASIN targeting and competitor analysis to capture market share
  • Continuously refine keyword lists based on search term reports

Optimization & Performance Management

  • Monitor campaign performance daily and optimize bids to meet ACOS, TACOS, and ROAS

targets

  • Improve CTR, CVR, and sales velocity through data-driven decisions
  • Scale winning campaigns while controlling wasted spend
  • Pause or restructure underperforming keywords, ads, and placementProfitability & Financial Ownership
  • • Own net profitability, not just ACOS, ensuring advertising spend supports sustainable growth
  • • Track, analyze, and optimize:
  • o TACOS vs. organic sales lift
  • o Contribution margin at the SKU and account level
  • o Break-even ACOS per SKU based on product cost structure
  • • Align PPC strategy with COGS, Amazon fees, pricing, promotions, and inventory planning
  • • Adjust bids and budgets to prevent over-advertising, margin erosion, and stock-out-driven

  • Reporting & Data Analysis
  • • Track and analyze key metrics including:
  • o ACOS, TACOS, ROAS
  • o CTR, CPC, CVR
  • o Sales, impressions, and ad-attributed revenue
  • • Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports with clear insights and recommendations
  • • Use data to forecast spend, sales, and growth opportunities
  • Product Launch & Ranking Support
  • • Create launch-focused PPC strategies to maximize visibility and early sales
  • • Support keyword ranking improvements through aggressive but controlled ad strategies
  • • Coordinate PPC efforts with promotions, coupons, and deal campaigns
  • Collaboration & Communication
  • • Work closely with:
  • o Amazon SEO / listing optimization teams
  • o Brand managers or account managers
  • o Creative teams (for Sponsored Brand ads)
  • • Provide clear explanations of PPC performance and strategy to non-technical stakeholders

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical & Platform Skills

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience managing Amazon PPC campaigns
  • Strong knowledge of Amazon Seller Central and/or Vendor Central
  • Expertise in Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display
  • Advanced understanding of Amazon bidding strategies and placement modifiers

Analytical Skills

  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret large data sets
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables, formulas)
  • Experience using PPC tools such as:

o Helium 10

Strategic & Business Skills

  • Proven ability to balance growth and profitability
  • Experience managing ad budgets ranging from small to high spend levels
  • Strong understanding of eCommerce metrics and consumer behavior on Amazon
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

Communication & Work Ethic

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to explain complex PPC data in simple terms
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
  • Comfortable working independently or within a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing PPC for multiple brands or large catalogs
  • Experience with international Amazon marketplaces (UK, EU, CA, AU, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Amazon SEO and listing optimization
  • Experience with product launches and brand scaling on Amazon
  • Amazon Advertising certification
