Position Overview

As a Practical Nursing Instructor, you will provide comprehensive instruction to nursing students in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings. You'll report directly to the Program Chair, Academic Dean, or Campus President while upholding our high standards of educational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging lecture, laboratory, and clinical instruction following established curriculum
• Implement and develop course outlines, objectives, and evaluation methods
• Maintain detailed lesson plans and provide timely feedback on student assignments
• Monitor student attendance, performance, and retention
• Provide academic support during scheduled office hours
• Advise students on academic policies and performance improvement
• Participate in curriculum development and equipment/supply management
• Maintain professional expertise through continuing education
• Attend required meetings and serve on committees as assigned
• For online instruction: Monitor courses daily, respond to student inquiries, and grade work within 48 hours

Qualifications

• BSN degree with current, valid, and unencumbered Ohio Registered Nurse license
• Current CPR Basic Life Support certification
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong relationship-building abilities with students and faculty
• Exceptional time management and attention to detail
• Proficiency with educational technology and learning management systems
• Full-time faculty responsibilities include teaching, tutoring, curriculum development, office hours, departmental meetings, and occasional substitution for colleagues.
