Pre-Authorization Representative

Colorado Springs Radiologists, PC/PENRAD Imaging has a PRN Pre-Authorization Representative position available (hours will vary based on business needs).

As a Pre-Authorization Representative, you will utilize your expertise to:

• Review the schedules a minimum of one week out.
• Enter authorizations and prescriptions accurately into patient’s charts.
• Research our computer and faxing systems for patient, insurance and exam information.
• Contact physician’s offices and insurance companies as needed for additional information.
• Have knowledge of current pre-authorization requirements for our insurance contracts.
• Check carrier or pre-auth company online for information; if not available, call the carrier or pre-auth company for status.
• Maintain ethical working relationships and good rapport with other PENRAD Imaging departments and co-workers.
• Maintain professional relations with referring providers’ staff and insurance companies.

Qualified Applicants will require:

• High School Diploma or GED,
• Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT and ICD-10 coding, and managed care contracts,
• Medical office experience preferred.

In addition to competitive wages, PRNs accrue sick time based on hours worked.
