Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Pre K Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment for preschool-aged children. Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social skills development.
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping maintain a safe, organized learning environment.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Provide individualized attention to children with diverse needs, including those with autism or disabilities, ensuring inclusive participation.
- Help supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, meal times, nap times, and transitions throughout the day.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to foster a collaborative and supportive atmosphere.
- Assist in maintaining classroom cleanliness, organization of educational materials, and documentation of student progress.
Experience
- Prior experience working with preschool or toddler-aged children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices in childhood education.
- Experience with special education strategies, behavior management techniques, and working with individuals with disabilities or autism is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with curriculum development for preschool learners, including Montessori or other child-centered approaches.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and engage families in their child's learning journey.
- Classroom experience involving lesson planning for literacy education and foundational math skills is advantageous.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
