Myles Ahead Child Care is an Early Childhood Education Center that offers licensed and early childhood education and care for children ages six weeks to five years.

Myles Ahead Child Care & Learning Center, LLC is looking for full and part-time trained, nurturing, and loving teachers that will help in the development of our children.

The Early Childhood Education Lead Teacher assists in the creation and execution of the individual childcare plan as directed by Missouri licensing regulations which includes being responsible for the academic, social-emotional growth and development of all children in their care, which may include infant, toddlers and/or preschool age children. She/ He will develops partnerships with parents/child’s caregivers to engage and encourage parent participation in all program and curriculum planning.

Responsibilities :

° Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of curriculum development and program evaluation, child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and research relating to learning.

° Develops weekly plans and implements age appropriate curriculum to nurture and stimulate all domains of children’s development in their care.

° Play an active supporting role with parents in the education and development of children.

° Monitor the progress of children through maintaining an accurate electronic portfolio for each child.

° Implement effective program measurement tools with document targeted outcomes

Professionalism and Work Conduct:

° Effective communication skills(written and verbal).

° Demonstrate success in working as a member of a team.

° Positive role model for children, families and peers with desire to inspire, motivate and lead by example.

Education /Job Experience/Certification:

° Associates Degree preferred but some Early Childhood Classes will be accepted.

° CDA-Child Development Associate Credential preferred.

° 9 Credit hours in Early Childhood Education.

° Early Child Development knowledge and experience 2 years of teaching experience in an Early Childhood program with infants, toddlers and preschoolers preferred.

Work Environment/Conditions:

° Moderate physical activity including reaching, stooping, kneeling and/or bending.

° Use strength to lift, sit, walk, reach, see, handle and operate in a classroom setting with reasonable accommodations.

° Skill in applying appropriate communication skills to maintain classroom environment.

° Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with young children, staff and parents.
