Responsibilities
- Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards and curriculum frameworks such as Montessori or other pedagogical approaches
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence
- Utilize effective behavior management strategies to support positive social interactions and emotional regulation among children
- Incorporate literacy education, math activities, physical education, and other core subjects into daily lessons to promote holistic development
- Support children with special needs through early intervention techniques and collaboration with specialists in special education
- Maintain accurate documentation of each child's progress, including assessments and standardized testing results, to inform instruction and communicate with families
- Manage classroom routines efficiently, ensuring smooth transitions and adherence to daycare or preschool schedules
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, classroom management, and innovative teaching methods
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with preschool-aged children in daycare or private school settings is essential
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy and math education strategies
- Experience working with children with special needs or in early intervention programs is highly desirable
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or other early childhood pedagogies enhances your ability to create enriching learning environments
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with parents, colleagues, and specialists involved in child welfare and education initiatives
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques suitable for young children to foster positive behavior and social skills
- Previous experience in preschool or toddler care settings that emphasizes child welfare, safety protocols, and developmental milestones
