Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pre-K Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young learners. This role involves developing curriculum, managing classroom activities, and fostering the social, emotional, and cognitive development of preschool children. The Pre-K Lead Teacher will play a vital role in preparing children for future academic success through innovative teaching methods and individualized support.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Create a positive classroom environment that promotes curiosity, independence, and social-emotional growth.
- Manage daily classroom activities, including circle time, play-based learning, and structured lessons.
- Assess individual student progress through observations and standardized testing; adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate student progress and address individual needs.
- Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support diverse learners.
- Maintain classroom management by establishing clear rules, routines, and behavior management policies.
- Ensure compliance with childcare regulations and safety standards to promote child welfare.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, curriculum development, and best practices in early childhood education.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is required.
- Demonstrated classroom management skills with a focus on behavior management techniques.
- Experience developing and implementing curricula across various subjects such as literacy education, math, physical education, and special education.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or other specialized educational approaches is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and administration.
- Experience working with diverse student populations including those requiring additional support or special education services is preferred. Pay: $15.00 - $15.50 per hour
