Friends seeks a curious, committed educator to join our team as an Early Childhood Lead Teacher in our Pre-K classroom. Ideal candidates possess a deep understanding of child development and progressive pedagogy, play-based education, and appreciation for the importance actively teaching social & emotional skills. The successful candidate is devoted to the School’s mission and program and possesses passion and imagination they will bring to our school community.

About the Role
Early Childhood Lead Teachers are charged with creation and implementation of curriculum, assessment of and reporting on student progress, communicating student progress, and partnering with families. The Early Childhood Lead Teacher should have experience with developmentally appropriate practice, play-based learning, and guiding social emotional learning.
Beyond the classroom, you’ll collaborate closely with colleagues, connect regularly with families, and participate in the full life of a small school community.

Salary Range: Salary range for this 100% FTE position is $52,000-$62,000 and pay is commensurate with experience, degree, and position.
