Job Description for Classroom Teacher

The person selected for this position will be responsible for the general supervision and management of a class.

Qualifications:

The person for this position must have a high school diploma, ECD 101 and at least two years training and/or experience in the field of childhood education. This person should be a sensitive, mature individual who is able to relate positively to children and adults. Some type of degree in early childhood education is desirable. This person must be a committed Christian and conduct her life according to Christian principles. She is a representative of this church. We are an outreach and a ministry to this community. She is a professional in early childhood and an advocate for children. Must show a Christ-like attitude at all times towards children, parents and co-workers.

The person selected for this position must be physically able to perform the job, be reliable, and be flexible in receiving assignments and adapting to changes in the program; and willing to accept supervision in order to improve work performance.

This person will be responsible of informing the director as soon as possible if she will not be coming to work as well as acquiring substitute for days absent. If one is not available, discuss with director other avenues. This would include for days off requested.
