Responsibilities
- Develop and implement creative, developmentally appropriate curriculum plans that align with early childhood education standards and incorporate literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
- Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and supports children’s individual needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
- Engage children in hands-on activities that stimulate cognitive growth, motor skills, and social interaction, including toddler care and preschool exercises.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of each child's progress through observations and assessments.
- Collaborate with families to communicate children's developmental milestones, behavioral concerns, and progress updates regularly.
- Maintain detailed classroom management records, lesson plans, and child welfare documentation to ensure compliance with licensing standards and best practices.
- Support classroom routines such as meal times, nap schedules, and outdoor play while fostering independence and positive behavior.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare, preschool, or private schools.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development techniques, and classroom management strategies.
- Familiarity with special education needs and early intervention programs.
- Demonstrated ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical activities, and social-emotional learning.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and children’s support teams.
- Certification or coursework in early childhood education or related fields is required; relevant experience in preschool or toddler care is highly valued.
