Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pre-Licensed (with a masters degree only) or Licensed Counselor (LADC, MLADC, LISCW, LCMHC) to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health and addiction counseling services to diverse populations, including children, families, and adults. Your expertise will support individuals through their recovery journeys, crisis situations, and ongoing mental health management. We are an IDCMP and counseling agency so we are seeking both MH and addiction counselors.

We are hiring 2 new counselors - we are open to part time positions and full time.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations using established clinical protocols and ICD coding standards (ICD-9, ICD-10) to determine appropriate treatment plans.
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing to promote positive behavioral change.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans aligned with client goals, integrating crisis intervention strategies when necessary to ensure safety and stability.
  • Document all patient interactions accurately in medical records following HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards, including progress notes, treatment plans, and case management reports.
  • Engage in case management activities to coordinate care across home, community settings, hospitals, and other healthcare providers for seamless patient support.
  • Facilitate crisis management sessions for clients experiencing acute mental health or substance use crises, utilizing trauma-informed approaches such as PTSD care techniques.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care delivery while maintaining compliance with HIPAA privacy laws and medical terminology standards.

Skills

  • Proficiency in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing.
  • Strong experience in child & family counseling, addiction counseling, and crisis intervention techniques.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health concepts such as applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management, and mental health counseling strategies.
  • Ability to conduct diagnostic evaluations using ICD coding systems (ICD-9/10) and manage medical records with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Excellent patient care skills with a focus on intake procedures, patient assessment, and case management coordination across various settings.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, medical terminology, CPT coding for billing purposes, and data collection methods for research or clinical audits.
  • Effective communication skills for group therapy facilitation and social work collaboration within multidisciplinary teams. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
