Purpose:
We are seeking a motivated Pre-Litigation Personal Injury Attorney with a strong background in personal injury law, excellent negotiation skills, and a passion for helping clients navigate the claims process. The Pre-Litigation Attorney will manage a high-volume caseload of personal injury claims from intake to settlement. This includes communicating with clients, medical providers, and insurance adjusters, evaluating liability and damages, and negotiating settlements that maximize client recovery.
This is an in-person position based in our Birmingham, Alabama, office. Compensation for this position, depending on experience, is an annual base salary of $75,000 to $85,000, plus bonuses and benefits.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of personal injury claims during the pre-litigation phase.

Communicate regularly with clients to provide case updates and guidance.

Review police reports, medical records, and other documentation to evaluate case value.

Draft demand letters and other legal correspondence.

Negotiate settlements with insurance companies to ensure fair compensation.

Coordinate with medical providers regarding client treatment and billing.

Maintain detailed case notes and documentation in the case management system.

Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure cases move efficiently.

Prepare cases for litigation if settlement is not achieved.

Ensure compliance with all ethical and legal standards.
Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Licensed to practice law in Alabama and in good standing with the Alabama Bar.

1–3+ years of experience in personal injury law preferred (pre-litigation focus preferred).

Strong negotiation, communication, organization, and time management skills.

Compassionate and client-focused attitude.

Ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently.

Proficiency with case management software (e.g., Filevine, Needles, Litify, etc.) is a plus.
