We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Pre-Litigation Paralegal specializing in Personal Injury law to join our dynamic legal team. Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with case intake, including interviewing clients and gathering initial documentation related to personal injury claims
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case development
- Manage and organize case files using document management systems such as iManage and PCLaw, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date
- Review and draft legal documents, including pleadings, correspondence, demand letters, and settlement agreements with precision and clarity
- Perform document review and data entry tasks related to personal injury cases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Coordinate with clients, insurance adjusters, medical providers, and other stakeholders via phone and email to facilitate case progress
- Maintain meticulous records of all case activities, correspondence, deadlines, and relevant documentation in compliance with firm protocols
- Support attorneys with administrative tasks such as filing, proofreading legal documents, transcription, and managing calendars for court deadlines
Experience
- Paralegal experience in a law office setting with a focus on personal injury law or related fields such as workers' compensation or civil litigation
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; professional phone etiquette is essential
- Knowledge of legal procedures related to pre-litigation processes in personal injury cases
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
