Pre-Pack Pharmacy Technician

MedScript LTC Pharmacy is looking for a Pre-Pack Pharmacy Technician to join our team!

The available shift is Monday - Friday, 9am - 5:30pm with a weekend rotation.

This position qualifies for a $2,000 sign-on bonus!

The primary purpose of this position is to maintain efficient Pre-Pack production of all “fast moving” medications on a daily basis. This position is also responsible for organization and maintaining workflow within a team-based environment.

Primary Duties:

• Prepare “pre-pack” blister cards for pharmacy using MTS Machines or “hand packing”
• Use MTS-350 Machine and DOSIS machines to prepare a high volume of production on a daily basis
• Return stock bottles back to assigned locations
• Identify quality related errors and correct these issues as necessary
• Work as a team to meet department goals & deadlines
• Stock supplies as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and keep workstation organized
• Other duties and/or projects as required and assigned

Education/Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active Indiana Pharmacy Technician License OR Active Pharmacy Technician In-Training License Required.

Experience:

• Previous pharmacy experience preferred, but not required.
• Previous Framework experience preferred, but not required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Work can be moderate to heavy with occasional lifting and carrying of supplies and occasional climbing to retrieve supplies. Stooping, kneeling and crouching may occur when unpacking supplies. Considerable standing and walking is involved in performing duties.
