At HWC Custom Cabinetry, we design and manufacture high-end, residential European-style custom cabinetry. We are evolving our workflow and are looking for a highly technical professional to become the critical bridge between our Design and Engineering teams.
We are hiring a Pre-Production Specialist to take the heavy technical lifting off our Designers’ plates. In this role, you won't just be drafting; you will be the gatekeeper of production. You will take the Designer's conceptual drawings, build out the architectural room shells in Cabinet Vision (CV), generate exact project quotes using Custom Cabinet Estimator and Innergy (ERP), and own the Pre-Engineering Checklist to ensure everything is perfect before it is turned over to Engineering.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Technical Drafting: Build out rooms, walls, and architectural specifications in Cabinet Vision based on architectural blueprints and field measurements.
- ERP & Quoting: Use Innergy and Custom Cabinet Estimator (CCE) to translate conceptual designs into accurate project estimates and final quotes.
- Pre-Engineering Verification: Own the Pre-Engineering Checklist. Verify technical CV items (32mm casework, material lengths/seams, exposed ends).
- Specification Management: Source & verify appliance specs, custom finishes, unique materials, and hardware accessories to ensure the design is technically executable.
- Collaborative Support: Work hand-in-hand with our Designers & Engineers, stepping in after the conceptual phase to draft the project for successful manufacturing and installation.
What We’re Looking For:
- Software Expertise: Highly proficient in Cabinet Vision (or related software) is a must. Experience with Innergy (ERP) or Custom Cabinet Estimator (CCE) is a massive plus (or related project management software or database systems).
- Industry Knowledge: Advanced understanding of European cabinetry materials, hardware, and the 32mm system construction techniques.
- Detail-Obsessed: You pride yourself on reviewing complex design specifications, ensuring that every measurement and technical detail translates into beautiful, highly functional, and buildable cabinetry.
- Education/Experience: Degree in Drafting, Interior Design, Architecture, or related field preferred, paired with hands-on technical CAD/drafting experience in a manufacturing environment.
