Job Purpose:
The Pre-Sales Specialist will act as a bridge between the technical and sales teams to develop business opportunities, manage client relationships, and contribute to the sales process through market research, proposal preparation, and technical solution development. This role involves driving business development initiatives for specific product lines (e.g., iEYE, Getac), managing channel partner programs, engaging with leads from strategic events like GITEX, and assisting with cost sheet preparation and client quotations. The role will focus on achieving sales objectives while aligning with the company’s strategic goals.
Key Job Responsibilities:
1. Client Relationship and Business Development
- Plan, execute, and manage client accounts and projects to ensure long-term relationships and business growth.
- Develop and maintain successful relationships with potential and existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
- Identify and locate new leads and opportunities, leveraging company standards and market research.
- Proactively resolve client complaints and prevent escalation through proper communication and mediation.
2. Sales Proposals and Presentations
- Structure and produce compelling sales proposals and technical documentation that outline cost savings, ROI, and business benefits to clients.
- Deliver professional presentations, demonstrations, and Proof of Concepts (POCs) tailored to client needs to showcase the value of proposed solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align technical and business requirements with client expectations.
3. Pre-Sales and Solution Design
- Conduct discovery sessions with clients to identify pain points, gather technical and business requirements, and propose tailored solutions.
- Translate client requirements into actionable strategies, technical designs, and business solutions.
- Offer technical assistance during the sales process, including identifying and mitigating risks to ensure proposed solutions meet client expectations.
4. Market Research and Strategic Initiatives
- Stay current with industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for improvement and differentiation.
- Search for new partners and explore networking opportunities to generate leads and expand the company’s market reach.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to define strategic campaigns and execute initiatives to generate new leads and opportunities.
5. Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all Pre-Sales activities, including proposals, POCs, and client interactions.
- Generate regular reports for clients and management, detailing project performance, sales progress, and areas of improvement.
- Forecast and track sales metrics, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and company objectives.
6. Product and Service Expertise
- Maintain updated knowledge of company solutions, services, and technologies to effectively communicate their value to clients.
- Identify opportunities for system enhancements and provide recommendations for upgrades or modifications to meet evolving client needs.
7. Cross-Department Collaboration
- Partner with internal teams, including technical and operations teams, to develop Statements of Work (SOWs) and Proofs of Concept (POCs) that align with customer requirements.
- Collaborate with the operations and delivery teams to ensure a seamless transition from Pre-Sales to implementation.
9. Industry Events and Networking
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and forums to expand knowledge, network with peers, and generate business opportunities.
- Utilize networking opportunities to identify and cultivate new leads and partnerships.
10. Ad Hoc Duties
- Fulfill other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor or department management to support departmental and organizational objectives.
Qualification Details:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications or equivalent experience may be considered. The desired professional certifications for the System Administrator position include: MCSA, MCSE, Linux+, RHCE, CCNA, CCNP, CEH, and CISSP.
