Pre Sales Consultant (HealthCare IT / PACS / RIS / VNA)
Purpose of the Role :
Drive technical and clinical credibility throughout the sales cycle for PACS/RIS and related imaging IT solutions, partnering with the commercial team to convert opportunities and support the company's regional expansion goals.
Location: Riyadh or Dubai
Key Responsibilities :
- Partner with Sales Managers to Analyze opportunities, understand customer clinical and IT workflows, and shape winning solution design strategies.
- Deliver compelling product technical presentations to customer technical team and KOLs.
- Own end-to-end responses to RFI/RFPs, including solution strategy, win-theme definition, and technical governance of proposal quality
- Build and sustain trusted relationships with clinical and IT stakeholders across the customer lifecycle from first engagement through post-sale acting as a consistent, credible technical point of contact rather than a one-time deal resource.
- Run structured discovery sessions and workshops with customers to surface clinical and operational pain points, and translate them into tailored value propositions aligning with commercial team and relevant company stakeholders.
- Support tender responses, pricing configurations, and business case development with relevant company stakeholders.
- Represent the company at trade shows, congresses, and customer workshops, building the company's presence and network within the regional clinical/IT community
- Collaborate with implementation/services teams to ensure smooth handover post-sale, staying engaged with key accounts to protect the relationship and support renewal/expansion conversations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of PACS/RIS market trends, regulatory requirements, and competitor offerings
- Support commercial team on high-stakes negotiations by providing technical risk assessment and defensible solution justification.
Solution Design & Technical Problem-Solving :
- Design PACS/RIS solution configurations tailored to customer infrastructure, workload volume, and clinical requirements (on-premise, hybrid, or cloud/VNA deployments).
- Own and lead the design of enterprise-grade, multi-site PACS/RIS architectures, setting the technical direction for complex and strategic deals.
- Translate customer requirements into practical, standards-based technical proposals, including indicative sizing and integration approach.
- Define reference architectures and design standards for the region, ensuring consistency, scalability, and compliance across proposals.
- Map integration points across the hospital IT ecosystem (EHR/EMR, HIS, modalities, third-party viewers) using HL7/FHIR, DICOM, and IHE integration profiles.
- Identify technical risks, workflow gaps, and interoperability constraints during discovery, and propose workable solutions or escalate to solution architecture/engineering as needed.
- Apply structured problem-solving to diagnose customer pain points and balance clinical needs, technical feasibility, and commercial constraints in proposed solutions.
- Produce clear technical documentation (architecture diagrams, configuration notes) to support proposals and tenders.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 6+ years' experience in PACS/RIS, healthcare imaging IT, or related clinical software (VNA, AI imaging tools, EHR integration).
- Strong understanding of radiology workflows, DICOM, HL7/FHIR, and IHE interoperability standards.
- Proven presales, technical sales support, or clinical applications background.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with clinical and IT stakeholders, including at department-head level.
- Excellent presentation, demo, and stakeholder communication skills across clinical and technical audiences.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, comfortable working through technical/integration questions independently.
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities across a region with a consultative, customer-first approach complying with company goals.
- Fluency in English and willingness to travel if needed .
- Bachelor's degree in Radiography, Biomedical Engineering, Health IT, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
