Pre-School Private Teacher

Job Expired

Role Overview

A warm, thoughtful family is seeking an experienced early childhood educator to provide personalized, engaging learning support for their young son beginning in June in Miami.

This role is centered on helping a curious and energetic 3-year-old continue building strong foundational literacy and math skills through play-based, hands-on learning. The family is looking for someone who can bring warmth, structure, creativity, and genuine enthusiasm into the child’s daily routine while creating a learning experience he looks forward to each time.

The right educator will understand how to make early learning feel joyful, interactive, and developmentally appropriate. This is an opportunity to build a meaningful relationship with one child in a highly personalized setting where connection, consistency, and engagement matter just as much as academic growth.

Student Profile

You’ll be working 1:1 with a bright, curious 3-year-old who loves learning and responds well to engaging, interactive experiences. He is in the early stages of building foundational literacy and math skills and benefits from an educator who can hold his attention through creativity, movement, games, conversation, and hands-on activities.

The family values warmth, professionalism, structure, and positive communication. They are looking for someone who can become a trusted and consistent presence in their son’s routine — someone he is genuinely excited to see each session.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide engaging 1:1 instruction tailored to a 3-year-old learner
  • Support foundational early literacy and math development
  • Create developmentally appropriate learning experiences through play, movement, games, and hands-on activities
  • Build routines and structure that support focus, engagement, and confidence
  • Adapt lessons and activities based on the child’s interests, attention span, and learning style
  • Bring creativity and energy to each session while maintaining calm, thoughtful structure
  • Communicate proactively and positively with parents regarding progress, observations, and routines
  • Help create a supportive, enriching environment during an important transition period for the family

What Makes Someone Successful

  • You are naturally warm, engaging, and highly interactive with young children
  • You know how to make learning feel exciting, playful, and age-appropriate
  • You bring strong early childhood instincts and understand developmental expectations for preschool-aged learners
  • You are polished, dependable, and comfortable working closely with professional families
  • You communicate clearly and positively with parents
  • You can balance flexibility and creativity with consistency and structure
  • You genuinely enjoy relationship-based work and value building trust with both children and families

Logistics & Compensation

  • Location: Miami
  • Schedule: Likely 2–3 mornings per week for approximately 1–2 hours per session
  • Start Date: June 2026
  • Compensation: Competitive hourly compensation, dependent on experience
  • Preferred Background:
  • Teaching license preferred
  • 3+ years of experience working with young children strongly preferred
  • Early childhood education experience highly valued
  • Position Type: Private family placement / part-time

Why This Role

This is an opportunity to do deeply personalized, relationship-driven work with a young child during an important season for his family. Rather than managing a classroom, you’ll have the ability to focus fully on one learner — creating engaging experiences that build confidence, curiosity, and a genuine love of learning.

For the right educator, this role offers the chance to become a meaningful and consistent part of a child’s world. The family is looking for someone who brings warmth, joy, professionalism, and presence — someone who can create the kind of learning experience a young child eagerly anticipates each week.
