Onsite Metairie, LA | Full-Time | Salary: $20hr and up depending on experience

TechniCAL, a Registrar Corp Company, is seeking a Precision Components Assembly Technician to join our onsite team in Metairie, LA. In this role, you will assemble wire sets and small components that support TechniCAL’s temperature data collection systems for the food industry. These assemblies include custom wire sets, precision thermocouples, and various small parts and components.

As a technician, you will perform hand soldering, work with small injection molds, use hand and power tools, assemble small component parts, and conduct quality checks on finished products. Strong attention to detail, adherence to shop safety practices, and the ability to manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines are essential.

Required Skillset and Technical Abilities:

• Experience hand soldering and assembling small precision components
  Ability to use hand tools and small power tools to assemble wires/components
• Experience using resistance meter, multimeters, etc. to check wire connections
• Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet targeted deadlines with strong attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with personnel in a team environment
• Strong maintenance and safety skills to support general shop safety; cleanliness, organized and hazard free.
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing in English

Required Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1 or more years related experience required
• Experience as machinist using lathe, mill, press, etc. preferred but not required
• Experience with electronics assembly preferred but not required
