Rancho Solano is seeking to add an Educational Aide to our growing team for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate would join our growing team on July 30th.

Shifts will begin at 8am and may extend as late as 5:30pm.

Main Purpose of the Role

The educational aide assists the classroom teachers and office administration in achieving student learning objectives that promote student success within and outside the classroom. The teacher aide provides clerical support, student support and student supervision; working with students PreK 2 through 5th Grade.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists with all other office duties as assigned by the PreK Coordinator, Principal and/or teacher
  • Participates in the school’s after school care program by assisting in the walking of students to and from designated classrooms, coordinate activities, supervise students, assist with dismissal process, etc.
  • Provides student support services by monitoring the lunchroom, front office, halls, study areas, playground areas and after school classrooms
  • Assists in preparing and facilitating the learning environment for after school care, setting up interest (learning) centers and preparing needed materials and supplies
  • Supervises the classroom and after school care when the teacher is out of the room and can lead small group work teams
  • Presents a positive role model for students that supports the mission of the school; demonstrates behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible (inside and outside of school)
  • Assists teacher in maintaining safe, secure and healthy educational environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with school and legal regulations
  • Helps in maintaining a clean and organized classroom, front office, lunchroom and school
  • Assists with distributing of supplies, food items etc. within the classroom, lunchroom and the school
  • Ensures sanitation of all surfaces, equipment and toys
  • Assists with daily assigned responsibilities, front office tasks, classrooms activities, lunchroom duties, field trips, events, and other activities scheduled
  • Demonstrates flexibility and a positive attitude toward new challenges and growth opportunities within the classroom and continues to support the school
  • Possess sufficient mobility including but not limited to standing, walking, lifting, or kneeling etc. to monitor students, control behavior of students and diapering of our youngest learners.
  • Ability to monitor students in the classroom and non-classroom settings in the school with their daily routine

  • Appropriate computer skills and familiarity with early childhood programs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience working with school aged children
  • Experience in age appropriate activities
  • Prefer at least 6 months of experience in a paid position in a school or licensed child care facility
  • Working knowledge of basic skills for phonics/math acquisition

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
