Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Pre-Kindergarten (PreK) Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment. Duties

  • Design and implement dynamic, developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional skills.
  • Lead classroom activities that promote curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking among preschool-aged children.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that supports toddler care, special education needs, and early intervention strategies.
  • Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies.
  • Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, developmental milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or classroom experience.
  • Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and childcare staff to ensure high-quality instructional delivery and classroom management.
  • Maintain accurate records of student assessments, standardized testing results, lesson plans, and daily attendance logs.
  • Incorporate Montessori methods or other educational philosophies as appropriate to enhance learning outcomes.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention techniques.
  • Expertise in curriculum development tailored for preschoolers with diverse needs including special education.
  • Proven experience working with children in daycare or preschool settings, including toddler care and private school environments.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, staff, and community partners.
  • Skilled in classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior and a productive learning environment.
  • Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical activities, and social-emotional learning.
  • Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and assessment tools used in early childhood education.
  • Experience implementing Montessori or other specialized teaching methods to support individualized learning plans.
  • Knowledge of child welfare practices ensuring safety and well-being at all times.
