Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning according to recipes and menu specifications
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling salads, garnishes, and side dishes to support the cooking team
• Maintain proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene standards are upheld at all times
• Organize and stock supplies, ensuring all ingredients are stored correctly and inventory levels are maintained
• Follow food safety regulations and sanitation procedures to keep the kitchen clean and compliant with health standards
• Collaborate with team members on menu planning ideas and special dietary accommodations when needed

Experience

• Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable
• Proven background in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant service with a focus on quality and efficiency
• Familiarity with food handling safety protocols and sanitation practices in a commercial kitchen setting
• Skills in knife handling, meal preparation, and food industry standards are essential for success
• Experience with catering or large-scale food service operations is a plus
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
• Enthusiasm for culinary arts and a desire to grow within the food industry
