Prep Cook/Baker

Position Summary

We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Prep Cook to prepare dessert ingredients and assist with daily bakery production while maintaining Magnolia’s quality, safety, and cleanliness standards

Responsibilities

• Prepare dessert ingredients and fillings following Magnolia recipes and standards
• Make icings, puddings, cheesecake fillings, and other prep items
• Measure, portion, label, and organize ingredients
• Stock prep stations with needed supplies and ingredients
• Operate mixers and other kitchen equipment safely
• Maintain clean and sanitized work areas, tools, and equipment
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages to management
• Assist bakers, cake icers, and other back of house staff as needed
• Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures

Physical Requirements

• Standing and walking for extended periods
• Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, and repetitive movement
• Ability to lift and carry moderate to heavy items
• Ability to work around hot equipment

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to follow directions and work independently
• Flexible and willing to help where needed

Schedule & Pay

• Approximately 30 - 40 hours per week
• Weekend and holiday availability may be required
• Hourly Pay: $14 - $16
