Prepress Production Technician

Houck Transit Advertising is looking for a part-time Pre-Press / Print Production Technician to prepare digital files for print, provide client proofing, and help ensure high-quality print output. This role involves computer-based and hands-on work and requires close coordination across departments to keep production running smoothly and address issues quickly. You will be printing signs for buses, benches and shelters on large format, latex HP printers.

Duties

• Prepare design files into a print-ready format
• Create and send digital proofs to clients for approval
• Make revisions and corrections to files
• Review and manage workflow for effective and efficient printing
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Skills and Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• Associate’s degree in Printing Technology or related field (Preferred)
• Proficient computer knowledge in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop, and eager to learn new proprietary systems
• Familiarity with Onyx print file software a plus
• Experience with large format printing preferred
• Excellent proofreading skills
• Ability to regularly lift 50 lbs.
