Presales Consultant

Job Summary

In this role, the candidate will act as a trusted Network Security technical consultant to GBM Bahrain clients and as a pre-sales advisor to the sales team, driving the design, positioning, and commercialization of security solutions across the portfolio.

Experience

Around 5+ years, out of which the last 3-4 years should be as a pre-sales technical consultant of Network Security Solutions

Job Responsibilities

  • The candidate will learn the client's business requirements, technical requirements, and competitive landscape and apply their technical knowledge and experience to bring new solutions to their assigned clients. The candidate will be responsible for collaborating with Vendors sales teams to define, design, and detail the technical aspects and feasibility of proposed solutions. They will deliver solution workshops, product demonstrations, technical education, and Proof of Concepts. They will support technical escalations, designing solutions, and answer technical questions throughout the sales process in order to progress / close sales and develop customer relationships. This position is with the team that sells Security Solutions in GBM Bahrain.


Required Responsibilities:

  • Cover the complete Bahrain territory to drive new sales and expand existing business
  • Provide technical sales leadership
  • Translate customer functional requirements to technical architecture and BOQ
  • Take ownership of the Bill of Quantities (BoQ), including engaging and negotiating with vendors such as Cisco, Fortinet, and Palo Alto Networks on pricing, discounts, and deal positioning to ensure competitiveness and alignment with deal strategy.
  • Develop and structure financial proposals with appropriate margin considerations, ensuring overall solution profitability while maintaining a competitive offering.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the client’s industry, including industry trends, industry business processes, industry financial measurements and performance indicators, and key client competitors in their industry
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude, customer-facing and presentation skills, business value analytics, written communication skills
  • Keeping up to date Network Security products roadmaps as well as understanding the scenarios, features and functions within each of the products and how these are applied to address business and technical problems. This includes interacting with Product Management on an on-going basis to stay current
  • Responsible of the handover of sold solutions to the Project Manager within the Service Delivery team


Core Competencies / Skills

  • Ability to develop a broad awareness of the client's technical architecture and emerging technologies and in turn assist the sales team in proposing new solutions to these clients
  • Possess a proven track record in architecting solutions using Different Network Security solutions for the Public and Private sectors (large enterprises, banks)
  • Design end-to-end security architecture covering:
  • Network Security (NGFW, Microsegmentation, ZTNA)
  • Secure Access (VPN, SASE)
  • Threat Protection & Visibility
  • Email Security
  • Strong background in:
  • Network Security Architecture
  • Firewalls, IPS, VPN, NAC, Microsegmentation, Email
  • Hands-on experience with at least:
  • Fortinet
  • Palo Alto Networks
  • Cisco Security stack
  • Understanding of:
  • SASE / Zero Trust
  • Cloud security basics (AWS/Azure integration)
  • It is considered a strong advantage for candidates to have exposure to other security solutions such as DDoS protection, IPAM/DDI, network detection and response (NDR), web application firewalls (WAF), and security policy orchestration.
